I preferred yahoo desktop to search PC file content specially for email.
Another file name searching engine is AVA find which can crawl disks locally.
Most time I forgot the name downloaded, ava find has a default function to fulfill.

Excle file restricts 65536 rows limitation. Better to open large excel file with minitab 14.

Fast within 3 min to find difference in two files of excel.

Also Sun Starsuite 8 can open hugh excel file in writer mode like doc and can convert to txt.

Another alternative is using UtralEdit inside compare funtion which is easy to operate following Menu>File >compare files.

Very easy to convert txt tab-seperator file by save as .txt

Otherwise may try TotalCommand's compare tool in Menu > compare content. Only text mode except doc and xls.
